That's Princess Kiani to you.

After just a couple of months of dating Matt and I decided we wanted a dog. We wanted a weiner dog. A miniature, red, female at that. There was no stopping us. We got newspapers and searched and searched and finally... a hit. Weiner dogs only 30 minutes from our house. We called and they had ONE red, female. We woke up early and drove to see something that we never knew would have such an effect on our lives. It was love at first sight...all 5 weeks of her. Her mommy wandered around greeting us, but she had quit feeding her babies and dad had been killed by a car. We looked at eachother and smiled... this puppy had to come home with us immediately. So, hand them the cash...no turning back....jump in the car and drive away fast before they change their minds...she was ours. She slept in the bed with us that night...peed in the bed to be exact. Matt and I raised her together and she made us better...even better than we already were and believe me that was pretty darn good.

I can tell you now that she kept us together through hard times, she licks my tears whether they be happy or sad, she puts us in our place, she brings a smile to our face, she has Matt wrapped around her little paw, and from the start she taught me what love is. She is not my child...she is my friend...my best friend. She is too much of a mentor to me to be anything other than that.

Kiani turned 6--May 23rd.
She had a fun party by the river...people food was served. Swimming and chasing birds was enjoyed.
Life wouldnt be the same without her- life wouldn't be as sweet.
